Circular economy event by UNOPS S3i Innovation Centre in Sweden aims for real action

With the aim to inspire and drive change towards a more circular economy, keynote speakers including the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Amager Bakke foundation, circular impact startups and others, will share their expertise within the Community. The day will also include a creative workshop focusing on initiatives on how to change consumer attitudes.

“At TePe we want to contribute to a positive development and a sustainable society. Moving towards a circular economy is a key component in doing that. We as a company have a responsibility to drive change within our business, but to truly achieve a circular economy we need to collaborate. This event offers a great opportunity to engage with others in order to do just that”, says Helena Ossmer Thedius, Marketing & Innovation Director at TePe.

“The S3i Innovation Centres are a unique global innovation network with an expertise in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an insightful closeness to global market needs through the UN-presence, and we are excited to take on this challenge with our Community. Circularity encompasses high relevance for achieving multiple SDGs. We are all consumers - it is needless to say a change in our behavior and work is necessary and urgent", says Jonas Michanek, Centre Manager,  S3i Innovation Centre in Sweden.

The event is among the year’s flagship events of the S3i Innovation Community in Sweden. The Community joins together people and organisations who are committed to making a difference. It allows members from corporations, institutions, and academia to share insights and solve real problems. The community members have the opportunity to work with innovative startups, collaborate on societal issues, create meaningful partnerships, engage employees, and foster sustainable leadership skills.

“TePe is a proud member of the UNOPS S3i Innovation Community in Sweden and we believe that partnerships, collaborations, and knowledge-sharing are key in driving change towards a more sustainable future”, Helena Ossmer Thedius concludes.
