Sustainability at TePe

Reaching for carbon neutral products

Reducing the carbon footprint is a global challenge. Committing to the UN Goals and the urgent need to take climate action, TePe has taken on the challenge to reach for carbon neutrality in products and packaging in 2022.

Climate change – a global challenge

Climate change and global warming is one of the greatest challenges of our time. The UN Goal 13 calls for urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

Taking action to reduce carbon emissions and move towards a fossil-free society

Taking action to combat climate change and its impacts is one of the greatest challenges of our time. To tackle this challenge, we need to reduce the carbon emissions and move towards a fossil-free society. We take our responsibility by using renewable energy in our production, shifting to renewable raw materials where possible, and by striving to minimise the environmental effects of our products, services, and transportation. It is our overarching goal to become CO2 neutral as a company.

Carbon neutral products 2022

Committing to the UN Goals of climate action, TePe has taken on the challenge to reach for carbon neutrality in products and packaging in 2022. The neutrality goal is anchored in the TePe Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which calculates the environmental impact of the company’s product and packaging materials. Besides TePe’s emphasis on resource management – using 100% green energy and taking measures to reduce waste – the LCA has identified materials, transportation, and product end of life as areas of improvement. The challenging question of raw materials has been a natural starting point for TePe, resulting in part by the introduction of biobased plastics in our range. While continuing to investigate eco-friendly raw material options, TePe will now look deeper into more sustainable transportation methods as well as solutions for end of life.
