A partnership for Global Oral Health
At Kenswed Dental Clinic, located outside Nairobi, Kenya, we give children, teenagers and young adults access to primary dental care. We also offer education in preventive dental care and oral health.
Oral health is of great importance - it affects people socially and there is an important connection between oral diseases and systemic diseases. These are often overlooked, especially in developing countries. Together with Zelmerlöw & Björkman foundation, TePe want to offer dental education and care in less fortunate communities. The clinic also offers job opportunities for people in the area.
Kenswed Dental Project
By providing access to dental care we want to contribute to an overall health and a positive development for individuals and society. The project began in 2020 and the dental clinic opened for patients December 2021. TePe support the dental clinic with monetary contributions, education materials and oral hygiene products. Our final goal is for Kenswed Dental Clinic to be a sustainable and self-supporting dental practice for the community.
Kenswed Dental Project is a development project by TePe, Global Relations and Zelmerlöw & Björkman Foundation. The dental clinic is a part of Kenswed's organization that consists of a high school, boarding school, hospital, and a Vocational Education Center. Zelmerlöw & Björkman Foundation is the main financier of the Kenswed Group, which was founded by Måns Zelmerlöw and Jonas Björkman in 2013.
