TePe GOOD™ Regular Soft Toothbrush Awarded Product of the Year 2019 by The Dental Guide
The TePe GOOD™ Regular soft toothbrush, the UK’s first sustainably produced plant-based plastic toothbrush, has been awarded Product of the Year 2019 by The Dental Guide, published with The Mail on Sunday on the 17th November 2019.
The award was granted by a judging panel from The Editorial Committee of The Dental Guide, which assessed many products in its drive to find the best oral health products suitable for “everyday” use for all age groups.
The TePe GOOD™ toothbrush was named Product of the Year, due to its elegant design, featuring a tapered brush head for easy access, and end-rounded filaments, which offer a gentle and efficient way of cleaning.
Alecia Brown, TePe UK Brand Manager, said of receiving the award:
“It’s always rewarding for TePe to be recognised for our innovative products. A number of leading brands feature in The Dental Guide; to win the award in the face of this competition is a fantastic testament to the quality of the TePe GOOD™ toothbrush, which has been developed with dental professionals to offer consumers a more sustainable choice without compromising on product quality, design or hygiene.”
The TePe GOOD™ Regular soft toothbrush is the UK’s first plant-based plastic toothbrush, which is part of the innovative TePe GOOD™ range. The handle and the filaments of the TePe GOOD™ toothbrush are made from plant-based plastics, while the use of renewable raw materials, such as sugar cane and castor oil, enables TePe to recirculate up to 95% of the CO₂ emissions during the product’s life cycle.
Commenting on the decision, Adrian Miller, Features Editor at The Dental Guide said:
“What stands out for us is that TePe GOOD™ is a unique sustainable toothbrush made from plant-based plastic. This illustrates to us that TePe as a company is trying to make a difference for the good of the planet. The fact the TePe Good™ Regular soft toothbrush is now widely available and priced very competitively makes this product a natural winner for The Dental Guide Product of the Year.
As with all TePe products, the TePe GOOD toothbrush is manufactured at TePe’s factory in Malmö, Sweden, which has the largest solar power plant in the city. The TePe GOOD™ Regular soft toothbrush is
available in Waitrose supermarkets and in good dental practices with an RRP of £2.75. For more information on TePe GOOD and TePe’s sustainability initiatives, visit www.tepe.com/good
