This webinar offers dental professionals an in-depth exploration of the daily home care prevention at three levels: primary, secondary, and tertiary, focusing on the important in-between areas. It integrates the use of TePe interdental cleaning products to tailor oral hygiene recommendations based on individual patient needs and periodontal status. Recommending products that correspond to patients' motor skills, motivation levels, and disease stage is important for maintaining oral health over time. Aims

  • Explain the differences and indications for use between different interdental devices
  • Highlight the role of interdental cleaning aid in different stages of disease, also in healthy individuals 
  • Provide an overview of different interdental cleaning aids to support home care routine based on patient’s needs and periodontal status

 

Learning outcomes

  • Be able to more confidently choose and recommend interdental cleaning tools based on the patient's periodontal status
  • Understand how different product features are of importance when selecting oral hygiene products 
  • Be familiar with TePe’s range of interdental cleaning products

About the speakers

Lina Gassner Kanters

RDH, MSc

 

Employed by TePe since 2015, Lina has profound pedagogical experience from previously working as a teacher at the Faculty of Odontology at Malmo University. She has worked clinically at the specialist clinic at the department of periodontics at Malmo University, and other general and specialist clinics in both Malmo, Sweden, Vienna, Austria. Fields of special interest are patient communication, health psychology, prevention and sustainability.

Michaela von Geijer

DDS

 

Michaela works part-time at a private dental office in Sweden and at TePe HQ in Sweden since 2015. She has long clinical experience and is particulary interested in prevention and oral health. Micheala has held temporary preclinical positions as amanuensis at the University of Lund, including basic research and assistance with education / training at the medical and dental schools.
