TePe Gingival Gel is great to use on or between teeth and implants, while wearing braces, when erupting wisdom teeth are giving you trouble, or if you are experiencing sensitive root surfaces due to receding gums. Apply with a TePe interdental brush, or a specialty brush like TePe Compact Tuft. The gel contains both chlorhexidine (0.2%), fluoride (0.32%) and xylitol. Chlorhexidine is effective against bacteria in your mouth (plaque). Fluoride strengthens the tooth enamel and dentine, the outer hard layers on your teeth and helps prevent tooth decay (cavities). Xylitol has several oral health benefits, one being cavity protection. Bacteria usually hide and thrive between teeth, and can easily cause irritated gums. That's why it is so important to clean between them. Apply the gel on the lid, dip the interdental brush, and apply the gel between your teeth or implants. You can also apply the gel directly on the brush. The consistency of the gel is carefully balanced – the gel remains between the teeth after you’ve applied it. Don’t forget to clean in between and brush your teeth before applying the gel. Don’t rinse afterwards, let the gel stay on overnight. TePe Gingival gel is a convenient way to beat bacteria, add extra fluoride, and keep your teeth and gums happy and healthy. It contains no colourants, alcohol, or abrasives, and is therefore gentle on both teeth and gums. Plus, it has a mild mint flavour. Use 1-2 times per day for a maximum of 2 weeks, or as advised by your dental professional. The gel has been developed in collaboration with dental experts.
